A few quick things about our Ben that I don't want to forget:

He is now 7 months old and is already crawling,  pulling up on furniture, and starting to cruise.  He is still nursing too and insists on sticking his entire hand in my mouth as he is nursing as if to say "here, some for you too!".  He doesn't say much but when he does it is LOUD and usually in response to his brother.  And speaking of brothers, now that Be is mobile, he and Luke have started to clash a bit more.  Ben likes to play with (destroy) Luke's toys ad Luke handles that with varying degrees of patience directly related to the amount of sleep he's had lately.  Only once has he said "I don't like babies!  I want Ben to go live someplace else!" Not bad for 7 months worth of torment!  Ben isn't really signing back yet and it's not clear if he understands the signs but I know he understands some language.  Instead of signing he will grab your fingers and "walk" you over to whatever he wants.  A few weeks ago he took me all the way upstairs to the Boppy to let me know he wanted some milk.  His first tooth popped though last week - only a few low-sleep nights leading up to that.  He has started putting things in his mouth now and we are being extra careful with Luke's toys and small things.  Ben is definitely our mover.  He is so physical.  it is a struggle to get him to sit still for a book or at a restaurant as he just wants to be running.  He loves water and will walk me to the bathtub and want to get it several time a say.  He splashes and kicks and tries to crawl and stand in the tub.  In the pool he can motor himself around in his inner tube.  We need to be sure to get him involved with some physical things as he grows.

 Meanwhile we are seeking a kindergarten for this guy for next year.  He needs a place that is creative, where he can learn about and explore all kinds of things in a variety of ways.  We have a few ideas and hope we can make the right choice.  He continues to be super dramatic in both entertaining and frustrating ways!   He is so sensitive and kind and always knows when someone is upset and how to make them feel better.  He is an expert sharer and makes friends so easily.  I am proud of him all the time!  Currently he is fascinated with space and human body and having dance parties with glow sticks is his favorite pass time.  He is also an amazing builder and can create amazing  things out of blocks, Legos or recyclables. He's starting to read and can do simple math on his fingers, which he loves.  I get so excited watching him love to learn!
